Refurbishment

After more than a year, we’re pleased to announce that we are reaching the end of our multi-million-pound refurbishment. The lobby has been transformed into a new stylish hub in the heart of the hotel. We’re delighted to welcome you in our new Haxells Restaurant & Bar where you can enjoy British inspired cuisine with a modern art deco décor throughout the restaurant, bar, afternoon tearoom and private dining room.

We’ve refurbished the majority of our guestrooms bringing back a touch of the art deco stylings that we were most renowned for, with a contemporary twist. Check out our new superior and deluxe rooms, available now!

At present, work is underway in the remaining guestrooms. This update is being achieved with minimal disturbance to your stay. Most will be unaware that any work is taking place at all as work only takes place within a confined area of the hotel during the daytime, from 8.30am on weekdays and 9.30am on the weekend, with all work completed by 6 pm.

A sense of style since 1909

Strand Palace has been proudly welcoming guests to stay with us since we first opened our doors in 1909. Throughout it all, we have always placed service standards and the guest experience at the heart of our offering.

With the guest experience in mind, we take all practical measures to limit the impact these works have on you however, some impact is unfortunately unavoidable. We would like to take the time to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and to thank you for your patience whilst we continue our work to improve the guest experience. We hope you are as excited as we are to take the leap into the roaring 2020’s!
