Now that the sun is finally upon us, there’s no better way to spend the long summer nights than by enjoying alfresco cinema under the stars. London offers the latest blockbusters through to cinematic classics at some of the capital’s most unusual surroundings including a secret garden in the heart of St Pancras or the beautiful courtyard at Somerset House.
Film4 kick off their Summer Screen events just down the road at the iconic Somerset House on 4th August with screenings of classic rom-com 10 Things I Hate About You (8th August) as well as premiering forthcoming releases including Things To Come (4th August), and Captain Fantastic (17th August).
For an immersive experience we’d suggest checking out The Nomad Cinema, currently touring the capital and popping up in 24 different venues from now until September. Our personal favourite is the Coram Secret Garden venue in St. Pancras, screening cult classic The Goonies on the 11th August.
Open-air cinema season wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Luna Cinema. Known as the crème de la crème of al fresco cinema, visitors can choose from a variety of venues including Kew Gardens, Alexandra Palace and Dulwich Park as they enjoy chick flicks Mean Girls (7th September Kew Gardens) and Dirty Dancing (19th August Dulwich Park).
Those looking for a place to rest their head after an evening under the stars can end their night with us. With bedrooms available from just £99, our comfy beds provide the perfect end to a night out in the fresh air!
