Strand Palace has been proudly welcoming guests to stay with us since we first opened our doors in 1909. Throughout it all, we have always placed service standards and the guest experience at the heart of our offering. Today, as we continue to strive to provide the best guest experience we need to update certain areas of the hotel.

At present, work is underway to the outside of the building in our lightwells, cleaning up the masonry to provide a better view of our internal rooms. Meanwhile, guestrooms are also being updated, bringing back a touch of the art deco stylings that Strand Palace was most renowned for – with a contemporary twist ready for the roaring 2020s.

This substantial update is being achieved with minimal disturbance to our guests. Most will be unaware that any work is taking place at all as work only takes place within a confined area of the hotel during the daytime, from 8.30am on weekdays and 9.30am on the weekend, with all work completed by 6 pm. Furthermore, those staying in rooms affected by work to the lightwells benefit from screened windows to ensure guest privacy.

We will provide regular updates to our website with previews of what is to come. It is an exciting time at Strand Palace and we are delighted to have launched our new rooms. In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you for another stay and value your continued support.
