Royal Baby Name Competition

The competition is now closed.

The Strand Palace Hotel would like to thank all participants for their submissions in our royal baby name competition.

We have had some fantastic names submitted, with some very amusing ones also.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their third child Louis Arthur Charles, with his official title His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.

Here are some interesting facts from our competition:

21% of entrants believed the 5th in line to the throne would be called James.
12% submitted Arthur as their name of choice
Albert was also a popular name submitted by 12% of entrants
8% of entrants thought Philip would be the name announced.
However, only 1% guessed correctly, with Louis Arthur Charles being officially announced on 27 April 2018
