Where to Watch the Premier League in London – Part 1

London is famous for many things; fashion, theatre, nightlife, museums – and football. With the Premier League drawing to a close, the pressure is rising and now is the time to see London’s top clubs in action. Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) all have upcoming matches in the capital, making them a perfect excuse for a visit. As a hotel in the centre of London, we’re just a short journey away from all these clubs. To help you get planning your footie escape, here’s a guide to the upcoming fixtures.

Chelsea

Chelsea are currently top of the Premier League, with two huge games coming up. First up, the club will play Manchester United at home (Stamford Bridge) next Saturday 18April, and will then face local rival Arsenal at the Emirates on 26 April. Both matches are sold out, but you can still enjoy the atmosphere in a London pub as you watch the match on the big screen. Both clubs also have ticket exchange services.

Arsenal and Manchester United are both likely to finish the season in the top four, so these matches are never short of top class football. Fans may also want to visit the club’s museum at Stamford Bridge, which is open daily, or perhaps take a stadium tour, during which you can find out more about the club and also follow in the footsteps of Blues players through the dressing room and tunnel onto the pitch.

Arsenal

As well as their big match against Chelsea, Arsenal will play Swansea City at home on 11 May. Tickets are already on sale for members, with the public to follow, and it is a great chance to see this proud London team play at home in the 60,361-seater Emirates Stadium. Visitors might also want to take a stadium tour here or stroll through the multimedia museum, which is open every day and closes an hour before kick-off. Strand Palace hotel is near Leicester Square, where you can catch the Tube to the Emirates.

Spurs

Spurs are still very much in the hunt for a Champions League berth, so fans and curious visitors can be sure of a great home game at White Hart Lane. The next home game is against Manchester City on 3 May. There are also tour packages offered at the venue, and it only takes one hour to get there by public transport from Strand Palace.

Check ahead to make sure tickets and tours are available during your visit to avoid disappointment, but you can also enjoy the beautiful game on the big screen in any pub near to Strand Palace hotel.
