At Strand Palace, fostering a sense of community holds paramount importance for all of us. We actively engage in hosting and participating in various fundraising activities and awareness days to support a range of charities, including Macmillan, Hospitality Action, OAPA, Cancer Research and more. Upholding our company values, it is integral to us to extend a helping hand to those in need in any way we can.


Only A Pavement Away
Founded by Greg and Gill Mangham in 2018, Only A Pavement Away is dedicated to assisting individuals who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, veterans, and prison leavers in finding employment within the hospitality industry. This noble cause ensures that their clients gain access to career opportunities, training, and support to overcome financial barriers to employment.
Since 2021, Strand Palace has been steadfastly supporting Only A Pavement Away. We actively participate in their Hike Against Homelessness and Winter Warmth campaigns, host their Annual Conference for 2022, 2023, and 2024, provide spaces for client trainings, organize staff fundraising events, and have made a commitment to hire several clients.


Hospitality Action
Hospitality Action provides unwavering support to workers in the hospitality industry facing various challenges, ranging from physical illness and mental health issues to financial difficulties, family problems, and addiction.
Strand Palace has been a dedicated supporter of Hospitality Action, contributing through various fundraising activities such as their Walk for Wellbeing campaign and organizing staff fundraising events.


The Connection at St Martin’s
The Connection at St Martin’s plays a crucial role in helping individuals sleeping rough on the path to recovery and a life off the streets. With a century-long legacy of serving the heart of Westminster, an area with a higher concentration of rough sleepers than anywhere else in the UK, their team is committed to making a difference.
Strand Palace has recently initiated collaboration with The Connection at St Martin’s through staff volunteering at art workshops and Christmas hamper packing. Additionally, our contribution extends to clothing and towel donations from both Strand Palace staff and our suppliers. We are proud to be part of their impactful work towards creating positive change in our community.
